Bio
Lover of the beauty of Japanese rope bondage and the physical, psychological and emotional effect it can produce.
Shibari/Kinbaku rope bondage performer, educator and enthusiast. I tie for pictures, film and performance as well as for my personal pleasure and that of my partners.
Into kink and bondage for over 21 years I have seen my obsession with Japanese rope bondage deepen enormously over time. I have had the great fortune to learn from some truly great masters in the world of Japanese bondage and am privileged to call some of them friends.
I love rope bondage and am passionate about being the very best I can.
Rope can get you connected in a way that I've never encountered in any other way. Seeing people 'get it' is a huge kick.
I use a lot of music analogies when I talk about bondage, some of you may find that out. It's not always the sweetest music that captures me, sometimes it's the blue notes.

Q & A
If you had to give a stranger a quick summary of who you are, what would you say?: Something true but probably miss-leading like “I’m into rope”. True but so far from being the whole story.
What attracted you to shibari: I don’t know if I can answer that simply. All I can say is that it speaks to me on a very deep level. It was something I had to pursue. It’s a combination of art and craft that endlessly fascinates me.
How would you describe you approach to rope: Again this is hard to answer as it changes all the time with study. Often things not directly related to the physical act of tying have the greatest effect. I think that those things that change how I think change my tying the most. Art, history and Zen to name but three have all changed my tying and will probably continue to do so. I work on emotional connection and I work on technique. I approach it from multiple directions.
Is shibari a public or private thing for you: Both. I love tying in an intimate way, It’s very personal and emotional, but also I do a lot of tying for photos etc. I like doing shows too they are a very different experience. And again public shows with suspension are very different to public kinbaku shows.
What direction is shibari going for you: So many directions. Definitely in the direction of more intimate rope. I find greater satisfaction the more connected the experience becomes.
