Tutorials

Welcome to RopeTopia learning resources.

Here we provide free tutorials and information as well as special members materials for students.

I've been asked on a number of occasions why I don't post more tutorials here for complete ties such as the TK etc.
It's my belief, based on my experience of teaching around the world and of observation of the way people use on-line tutorials that this is not a good way to teach people. No single video, no matter how well meant can carry every piece of information about any tie that is above the level of an absolute basic procedure.
I believe that teaching carries a responsibility with it. When I make information generally available I believe that it's incumbent upon me to consider its likely use and possible misuse.
When resources are available on-line people have often demonstrated the tenancy to go for impressive looking ties straight away without first doing the background work necessary for them to use advanced ties responsibly. As with individual tutorials it is impossible to know if the person accessing them is acting responsibly I think it's sensible to consider if publishing what cannot help but be incomplete information might not cause more harm than good.
This is why I only make most of my video tutorials available to those I have actually taught in person and who I know posses the relevant safety knowledge and skill level to take care of their partner and use the information in a responsible way.

It is very important to me to teach and share information in a responsible way. I have no problem with sharing information but I believe that it should be done in a considered way. Others may very well feel different but this is my belief.

Sorry but materials for students are not available to the general public.
Students will see additional menu options for further advanced tutorials.

If you are a student and do not see the additional menu options please contact me via the contact page.
