This methods particular strength is that the rope deploys fast and in a consistent none tangling manner. If you do it right the rope will not come undone accidentally.

Though there are places where I would use this and places where I wouldn't I think that this knot is a very valuable one. Great for when you want a knot that is positively uncollapsible but by the same token not one to use when you want something that can be undone under tension.
